Equipment behavior and sources
Animate Guardian now belongs directly in the 3.29 Quality of Life group because the official patch added a right-click equipment view for the minion icon. The window is a safer inspection tool: PoE Wiki records that equipped items are locked there and cannot be removed or replaced through that interface.
Use this page as a shopping checklist before consuming items. The Guardian is character-bound rather than gem-bound, can only wear the listed armour and melee/offhand slots, and replacing an occupied slot destroys the previous item. Since 3.26, death no longer deletes the equipment, but the Guardian cannot be resummoned in the same area unless that area is a hideout.
